About Mark Levine

Mark broadcasting on The Inside ScoopSince June 2003, Mark Levine has given listeners The Inside Scoop from political players inside the Beltway – news that the Media almost never reports and those in power in the Government do not want you to know about. Mark welcomes all during his talk radio hour, and he particularly values calls from folks who disagree with him.

The Inside Scoop is an alternative to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and the other right-wing media clones who boringly repeat the Administration's spin. Call it moderate, alternative, or progressive talk radio, but Mark gives his own unique inside-the-beltway perspective that is beyond either conservative or liberal spin.

Mark Levine served as Legislative Counsel to a high-ranking Democratic Member of Congress on the House Judiciary Committee and the House Select Committee on Homeland Security. He has an economics degree magna cum laude from Harvard College and a law degree from Yale. He also was a Presidential Scholar and a Fulbright Scholar in Switzerland. CNN featured Mark Levine's transition from litigation attorney to Congressional counsel. Mark is the author of the critically-acclaimed Layman's Guide to Bush v. Gore, now taught in four law schools and published in two books, a dozen newspapers, and literally thousands of websites. In 2000, he was hired by the Congressional Black Caucus to present to Congress the Legal Challenge to the 2000 Florida Electors.

The Inside Scoop, beginning at WAGE in suburban Washington, is currently syndicated coast to coast by the H.O.R.N. (Head-on Radio Network) every Weekday from 5 to 6 pm Eastern. On Monday nights at 7:00 pm, it is televised throughout the Washington DC Metropolitan area on FPA Channel 10. In his first Arbitron book on Clear Channel's KLSD, Mark was San Diego's number one talk show in his timeslot.

Mark has an extensive internet audience consisting of more than 40,000 subscribers to his podcast, recently featured in The Washington Post and thousands of additional listeners worldwide who regularly listen to the show LIVE on this website. The show's extensive Broadcast Archive, with more than 1000 downloadable shows on everything from Abstinence-Only Education to Uzbekistan can be found here. The Inside Scoop is also featured in iTunes, whiterosesociety.org, downloadradio.org, at PodCast Alley, and on other Internet radio stations and podcasts.

In addition to The Inside Scoop, Mark continues to be a guest on dozens of radio programs throughout the USA and Great Britain. Mark regularly appears on South Florida's Sound Off with Sasha and is heard every Friday from 4 to 7 pm on XM's Channel 169: The Power. Mark has also filled in several times as host of The Marianne Williamson Show on the Sirius Network and been featured a number of times on Laura Flanders' roundtable on Air America and XM radio. Mark is also a regular guest on the Michael Jackson Show in Los Angeles and the and the nationally-syndicated Leslie Marshall Show.

Mark tells it like it is and pulls no punches. Though some listeners have expressed fear that Mark may soon be taken away by the Attorney General to Guantanamo Bay, Mark continues to skewer the Bush Administration, Congress, and the Supreme Court using his inside sources from his time on Capitol Hill and his knowledge as a constitutional lawyer to give you The Inside Scoop.
